Sayef Zaman is a Bangladeshi-American independent filmmaker known for fusing guerrilla filmmaking with esoteric and socio-political zeitgeist.
His debut feature, Probashi, was shot over two years in Queens, NY—using non-actors, a DSLR, and an Android phone.
The film earned international acclaim, winning multiple awards for debut achievement and storytelling.
Sayef’s work is driven by minimal budgets , maximal impact—stories rooted in cultural identity, resistance, and hidden symbolism.
